Moros y Cristianos (Moors and Christians), Sant Elm

Always in the first weekend of August, during the festivities in honour of Santa Catalina Tomás, Sant Elm lives the battle of the Moors and Christians. This battle is fought by a large number of people dressed in traditional costumes, farmers and Moors on the beach of Sant Elm.

With the participation of many warriors, especially children, a fierce battle is disputed and there are always losses on both sides, although in the end, as tradition dictates, the Christians always win, and every year they succeed in saving the village of Sant Elm and the rest of Mallorca from the attack of the Moors, whose members, according to the story, carried out many robberies and kidnappings.
