Fiestas del Rei en Jaume (King James Festivities), Santa Ponça

These are fun-filled festivities that mark the landing of James I in Santa Ponça in 1229, which was the beginning of the reconquest of the island from the Moors.
These festivals have a varied programme of cultural, traditional and entertainment events, including a parade of Mallorcan giants, “nit de foc” and the battle of Moors and Christians.
