Fira del Meló (Melon Fair), Vilafranca de Bonany

At the beginning of September, Villafranca de Bonany celebrates the Melon Festival, with a series of activities planned around this fruit: a gathering in the town square of lanterns made from melons that have had their pulp removed, competitions in which prizes are awarded for the largest and highest quality melon, and tastings of this delicacy. Coinciding with this festival, a night fair is organised where you can find organic products, local crafts, exhibitions of native breeds of animals and agricultural machinery.
