Festa de Les Llanternes (Lantern Festival), Alcúdia

The Festa de Les Llanternes is one of the most fun and popular summer festivals in Alcudia, and is more focused on the young public. On this special day, the 24th of August of each year, the young people of Alcudia walk through the streets of the town accompanied by their own lamps, made with hollowed-out watermelons and melons. As they walk, they sing songs typical of the town and of Mallorca. It is undoubtedly an original and super traditional spectacle.
