Virgen María de la Victoria, Alcúdia

These festivities take place in the chapel of Alcudia and its surroundings. The celebrations usually start at dusk, on July 1st, with some fun races up to the chapel. At night, the festival gives free rein to music and tradition with some typical “balls de bot” and continues well into the early hours of the morning.
On the second day of the Virgen de la Victoria festival, on July 2nd, everything starts very early in the morning, with rockets launched from the town hall of Alcudia. After this, a musical band goes through the streets of the town to “get the crowd going”, and then the great mass takes place in honour of the virgin, to whom small bunches of chamomile are brought as an offering. To end the festivities, the afternoon is enlivened with dancing and music until the body can take it no more.
