Festes de La Beata de Valldemossa

The Festes de la Beata are the most significant celebration in Valldemossa, in honor of Santa Catalina Tomàs, canonized in 1930. Santa Catalina, known as the Beata, is the town’s patron saint, and her festivity attracts hundreds of devotees from all over Mallorca. The culminating moment of the festivities is the Triumphal Carriage, an impressive cavalcade in which a 6-year-old girl, chosen to represent Santa, is the protagonist. This procession is complemented by various religious and festive events, such as masses, concerts and cultural activities. During this celebration, the town dresses up with decorations and events that reflect the deep devotion and joy of the community.
